Toe curls are an excellent starting point, as they strengthen the muscles surrounding the ankle and increase flexibility. This is done by sitting with your feet flat on the floor and curling your toes towards the sole, holding for a few seconds before releasing. Another beneficial exercise is ankle circles, which involve gently rotating your ankle clockwise and counterclockwise to enhance range of motion and reduce stiffness. Calf raises can also be effective in strengthening the muscles supporting the ankle joint. Stand with your feet hip-width apart and slowly lift your heels off the ground, then lower them back down. Repeat this motion several times to build endurance and stability.
